The stamp pages are a small personal project by Anton Kalashnikau. This is what happens to what you send, in plain words.

What is stored

• Your message, and if you fill them in: name, where you're from, and a photo.
• Which stamp it was for, and when.
• A scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address, only to stop spam and flooding. It can't be turned back into your IP, changes every day, and is deleted after 30 days. Your real IP address is never stored.
• Tapping “So was I” (the wordless option, no message) stores the same scrambled IP, only so the same visitor tapping twice doesn't count twice — nothing else.

Who can see it

Your message, name, place and photo are shown publicly on that stamp's page.

Photos

Photos are resized and re-saved on the server, which removes hidden data such as the GPS position and camera details.

Cookies and tracking

These pages set no cookies for visitors and run no analytics or advertising trackers. Loading the map fetches map tiles from OpenFreeMap (built on OpenStreetMap data), and the spam check comes from Cloudflare (Turnstile), and only starts when you begin typing in a form. Both services see your IP address as any website you load from would.

Where it lives

The site runs on Vercel, messages are stored in a Neon Postgres database, photos in Vercel Blob, and new-message notifications go to Anton by email through Resend.

Deleting your message

After you send a message you get a private link on the thank-you screen. Open it to delete your message and photo for good, no email needed. Lost the link? Get in touch through the links on kalashnikau.com with the stamp number and roughly when you wrote it. You can ask in the same way to see or correct what's stored about you.
